Embodied Antiracism Practice

The climate and ecological emergency is a trauma inflicted on all beings by white supremacy. Our demand for a just transition starts with how we show up in our organizing. As important as an intellectual understanding of racism and the desire to be anti-racist is, these alone will not address the habitual embodiment of racism. In this weekly circle we learn ways to heal from trauma and to unlearn embodied, racialized behaviors.

XR NYC’s Self Organizing System helps us get work done through a network of small interconnected groups. Learn how XR practices democracy using consent based decision making, clearly defined roles and meeting procedures to put care for each other at the center of our work and to grow the movement.
