Climate Teach-in at the American Museum of Natural History

  • Central Park West and 81st. St. Diana Ross Playground (map)

We have been protesting at the American Museum of Natural History for nearly two years now. This is our 13th visit! Creativity and community are what this is all about. You can participate on any level; all are welcome! Our mission is to get them to declare a climate crisis and educate people about it daily. But They are not doing that. So, we will!

Sunday, Nov. 17th we will conduct a teach-in at the museum about the climate crisis and why the museum is not declaring an ecological emergency. We have in our toolbox, banners, flyers, speaking points, songs, chants, movement, shakers, whistles, and our bodies. Those who choose so, will take turns speaking to the public. We will be engaging and educational. Our plan will be developed by the people who show up at the prep/planning sessions and art builds, Nov 7th, 9th, and the 16th, (check XR NYC's website events for these happenings). We have been rocking this iconic location for nearly two years now, please come and participate in this extraordinary opportunity.
