Community Gatherings are casual events where we come together as a movement to spend time with fellow rebels, share what's going on, and learn from one another.
This month we'll be getting an update on our Political Strategy working group's campaign for the creation of a Citizens Assembly on Climate and Ecological Justice in New York City.
Citizens’ Assemblies, our third demand, are happening around the world. Could New York City become a model for assemblies in the United States? Join us to learn how this deliberative democratic process can bring people together to face the challenges of the climate crisis and hear about our our efforts to get the City Council to establish one.
During the evening we’ll also share updates on XR NYC plans and there will also be plenty of time to connect with new and current members over snacks.
