Land Day: Climate Bloc for Planet and Palestine

  • Union Square Union Square West New York, NY, 10003 United States (map)

Join us on Sunday, March 30th, for a coalition march commemorating Land Day, a significant day for Palestinian communities that highlights issues of land, equality, and justice. NYC climate activists will once again unite with the Shut It Down for Palestine movement to demand an end to injustice, genocide, and environmental destruction.

Gaza has become a sacrifice zone, and the war is far from over. The violence continues to devastate civilians, deepening the humanitarian crisis with no end in sight. Thousands of innocent people—families, children—are trapped in the chaos, enduring unimaginable hardship. The land itself is now covered in 50 million tons of toxic rubble, seeping into the earth, water, and air—resources that the people left behind are forced to breathe, eat, and drink. The very ability of the land to sustain life is being obliterated. This isn’t just a war. It’s ecocide.

The detainment of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil by ICE without due process is also of significant concern, part of a broader pattern of state repression targeting those who challenge injustice. This is a reminder of the interconnected struggles for freedom, justice, and sovereignty, which we are also witnessing in the suppression of the climate movement under the Trump Administration.
