Our working groups invite you to open New Rebel Welcome meetings to introduce the work each group does, discuss upcoming projects, identify open roles and share ideas.

The Just Transition group is where social and environmental justice meet! We ensure that XR's demand for a “just transition" is met, in which we shift away from the present extractive imperialist dynamics rooted in white supremacy towards a future that is sustainable, regenerative, and just for all. We aim to center the wisdom and needs of marginalized communities in all that we do, which includes (but is not limited to): Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA2S+, women, those living with disabilities, immigrants, religious minorities, and the poor—and particularly those living in the intersections within these communities.
